Your Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based?

I am based in Shaftesbury, North Dorset.

How far are you willing to travel?

I am happy to travel all over the UK and abroad for destination weddings. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Do you charge for travel?

I do not charge additional travel costs for weddings within a 70 mile radius of Shaftesbury, Dorset.

When will our images be ready?

Your online gallery will be ready to view approximately 8-10 weeks from your wedding/shoot date.

Do you provide RAW files?

I do not provide RAW files as these are an unfinished product.

Do we get any prints with our package?

My packages include digital files in high resolution and you have full printing rights.

What will happen if you are ill or circumstances prevent you from being able to attend our wedding day or event?

I will do everything in my power to be there, if this is not possible I will do my best to find you a suitable alternative from a wide network of photographers.

Can we share our images on social media?

Yes, it’s a wonderful way to share your images with friends and family. I will also post images on my social media which I would love you to share. I would also really appreciate it if you could tag me on the images you choose to share on social media.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured with both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance – copies of these documents can be provided upon request.

Do we need to feed you?

Yes please (for weddings and events 5 hours or more). I’m on my feet all day and get very hungry, so a meal would be very much appreciated. No-one likes there picture being taken when they are eating, so when you sit down to eat I’ll take a 30-40min break too.

What equipment do you use?

I currently use two camera bodies which are a Canon EOS R5 and R6. I also have a number of professional lenses and flash equipment which allows me to capture your day whatever the situation.

What if our friends and family want some photos?

To make things easier for you, all your edited images are uploaded to a password-protected online gallery. You can share the link with your friends and family so they can view all your images, download high resolution digitals and order prints if they wish.

How do we book?

Wedding photography is one of the first things people book, so get in touch! A non-refundable deposit of 30% and a signed contract is required to secure your booking. The rest of the balance is due 6 weeks before your wedding date. Payments can be made in cash or by bank transfer.

Who owns the copyright to the images?

Photography by Chantel owns the copyright to all images provided as part of any photography package but your license gives you permission to print and share the images for personal use.
